He shares insights Leoben started out in 1840 186 years ago as a university for mining and metallergy. Its aim was to bring innovation to an industry in that region at that time. Since then we have developed into a technical university highly specialized in three areas. Area one are still the mineral resources. Area two is the conversion of mineral resources in processing in manufacturing activities into valuable materials. And today also we closed the cycle in terms of circular economy to cover also recycling that means bringing back materials after their use into the reuse phase. Polymers uh today play an important role at Montana University Leubin in the area of material sciences.
